Jeff Holding, A.J. Belt and Christina Stine Represented FOX Sports Florida in Securing a Lease Renewal and Top-of-Building Signage at Broward Financial Centre
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, December 14, 2017 — Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has negotiated a 24,290-square-foot office renewal with FOX Sports Florida at Broward Financial Centre in the Fort Lauderdale Central Business District (CBD).
The Cushman & Wakefield team of Executive Director Jeff Holding, Senior Director A.J. Belt and Associate Christina Stine represented FOX Sports Florida in executing the lease renewal. The Cushman & Wakefield team also assisted FOX Sports Florida in securing top-of-building signage at Broward Financial Center, a position formerly occupied by the Sun Sentinel. ComReal’s Tim Talbot represented Miami-based building owner FTL 500 Corp.
“We succeeded in subleasing a full floor of vacant space in the building for our client, Sun-Sentinel, thus enabling building-top signage to come available. After convincing building ownership of the benefits of adding FOX Sports’ name to the top of the building, our client followed our lead quickly, and we were able to finalize lease terms before the Sun-Sentinel sign was removed,” said Holding.
Added Belt, “Our relationship with the Sun-Sentinel allowed us to apprise FOX Sports that this major signage opportunity was coming into play. Our knowledge of the moving parts — within the building and downtown Fort Lauderdale office market — ensured FOX Sports was well-positioned to move quickly and not only gain the building-top signage before any other downtown office user was aware of its availability, but also extend its lease under favorable economic terms.”
Fox Sports Florida is a regional sports network affiliated with 21st Century Fox providing local sports coverage in the South Florida, Tampa and Orlando markets. Broward Financial Centre houses Fox Sports Florida’s production facilities and offices.
