The Firm’s Asset Services Group Won Seven of the 18 TOBY Awards at the Building Owners and Managers Association’s Recent Event
MIAMI, FL, March 8, 2017 — Cushman & Wakefield announced today that its Asset Services Group was awarded seven of 18 local TOBY awards by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Miami-Dade. The awards were presented at the recent BOMA of Miami-Dade TOBYS, a Moulin Rouge-themed event held at Jungle Island.
The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are billed as the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. All facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated, including community involvement, site management and sustainability policies and procedures.
The TOBY award competition begins at the BOMA local association level. Winning entries advance from there to the regional level and, finally, regional winners advance to the international competition. The international TOBY Awards will be presented at the BOMA International Conference in Nashville, TN on June 27.

Under 100,000 Square Feet
404 Washington • Miami Beach, FL
Cushman & Wakefield won the Under 100,000 Square Feet TOBY award for its efforts managing 404 Washington Avenue, a landmark 60,013-square-foot, eight-story mixed-use art deco asset in the South Beach area. The building includes street-level retail, four levels of parking and three floors of office space.
The asset is owned by Dominion Partners, LP, an affiliate of the Aventura, FL-based Trump Group. Cushman & Wakefield’s management staff includes Senior Property Manager Peter Romero, Assistant Property Manager Danny Wong and Engineer Segundo Henriquez.
100,000 to 249,999 Square Feet
550 Biltmore • Coral Gables, FL
Cushman & Wakefield earned the 100,000 to 249,999 Square Feet TOBY award for its work at 550 Biltmore Way, a 14-story, 162,293-square-foot Class A office building in downtown Coral Gables. The unique pyramidal building features a facade constructed of Italian travertine marble and black granite.
550 Biltmore is owned by Prudential Real Estate. Cushman & Wakefield’s on-site staff includes Property Manager Jenipher Ortiz and Chief Operating Engineer Eric Valdes.
Earth Award
Sabadell Financial Center • Miami, FL
Cushman & Wakefield took home the TOBY Earth Award for its management efforts at Sabadell Financial Center, a 30-story, 522,892-square-foot Class A office tower located at 1111 Brickell Avenue. This LEED Gold-certified building is home to numerous prestigious local, national and international firms and is situated in the heart of the Brickell financial district. This location provides exceptional access to nearby luxury hotels and fine dining as well as unmatched views of Biscayne Bay.
The asset is owned by Prudential Real Estate. Cushman & Wakefield’s on-site staff includes Vice President Leigh Griffin, Chief Operating Engineer Gil Villasenor, Sr., Assistant Property Manager Leslie Quintero, Valdes and Property Administrator Yesenia Ruiz.

Cushman & Wakefield won the Industrial Office Park TOBY for its work at Centergate at Gratigny, a state-of-the-art 978,164-square-foot warehouse and distribution building located at 6301 East 10th Avenue. The facility is centrally located in Miami-Dade county, offering exceptional access to all major land, air and sea distribution routes.

6505 Waterford • Miami, FL
Cushman & Wakefield won the Corporate Facility TOBY award for its work at 6505 Waterford, a 166,996-square-foot asset developed in 1996 in the Waterford at Blue Lagoon Office Park. This building recently earned the prestigious LEED Gold v4 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Building designation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The asset is located at 6505 Blue Lagoon Drive and is owned by Atlanta-based MetLife Real Estate. Cushman & Wakefield’s on-site staff includes Senior Property Manager Peter Romero, Assistant Property Manager Danny Wong and Engineer Javier Castro.
Suburban Office Park (Low Rise)
6100 and 6303 Waterford • Miami , FL
Cushman & Wakefield earned the Suburban Office Park (Low Rise) TOBY for its efforts at 6100 and 6303 Waterford in the Waterford at Blue Lagoon office Park. 6100 Waterford is a 162,878-square-foot building built in 1991 at 6100 Blue Lagoon Drive. 6303 Waterford is a 165,996-square-foot building developed in 1993 at 6303 Blue Lagoon Drive. Both buildings recently earned the LEED Silver v4 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Building designation.
The assets feature a fitness center, garage parking, restaurants, dry cleaners, indoor and outdoor seating, lake views, day care facilities and on-site property management and leasing representatives. The buildings are situated in a Class A corporate office setting, offering exceptional access to Miami International Airport, major highways, downtown Miami, Coral Gables and Miami’s bedroom communities.
